Hospital's New Sonography Capabilities

With the arrival of long-term St. Boniface volunteer and sonography technician, Vicki Bales, students Kenide and Sergo (pictured above) have the opportunity over the next several months to train on the indispensable machine, which has already found that over 85% of its sonographies turn up positive for pathologies.

Vicki Bales passed away on August 1, 2007. She was only 49 years old. As her older sister, it means the world to me to see her name attached to such good works. She loved her work in Haiti and seeing her students using the technology she taught them to help their countrymen is a wonderful memory and a great honor to her. I am so pleased to read that such a high percentage of the results yield information that can be used to help. Thank you for posting this picture and thank you to your foundation for all you do.
